Why this manual exists

Tools are the last step, not the first. Most people start with software because it feels productive. They buy subscriptions, wire automations, and polish pages before they know who cares. This manual forces the order back into place. You will not leave with a huge plan. You will leave with a sharper starting point.

What you will have by the end

One buyer you understand. One painful workflow worth fixing. One clear wedge-offer sentence. One validation test. And one short list of tasks AI may help with later, after the business logic is clear, not before.

Output 01Buyer mapA specific buyer with a job, a constraint, and a reason to care now.
Output 02Pain inventoryA ranked list of workflows that cost time, money, or missed revenue.
Output 03WedgeA small, clear first promise you can test before building a big product.
Output 04Validation planA ten-conversation test that tells you whether the idea is worth building.

The field map

Work the manual in order. Each step narrows the last one, so by the end the idea is specific enough to test with real people.

01 · Buyer. Choose one narrow buyer you can actually reach. A group you can name and find beats a broad market you can only imagine.

02 · Pain. Find the expensive workflow: the one that costs time, money, or lost revenue every week. Rank pains by cost, not by how interesting they are.

03 · Workaround. Learn how they solve it today. The current duct-tape solution tells you what a better version has to beat.

04 · Wedge. Write one small promise you can deliver and test now, instead of the whole platform you imagine later.

05 · Validate. Have ten real conversations before you build. Listen for the exact words people use and whether they would pay.

Worksheet · first question

Who, specifically, feels this pain every week, and where would you find ten of them?

What AI does safely here

At this stage AI is a thinking aid, not an operator. It can help you organize notes from conversations, draft questions, and summarize patterns. It should not send outreach, make promises, or "decide" your buyer for you. That is why the safety level on this manual is do not automate yet: the judgment is the point.
